Pickering Casino Resort Hotel

We had a lovely one-night stay to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We'd mentioned the occasion when booking, and there was a lovely surprise waiting in our room when we arrived. The resort was very clean, and everyone was friendly, from the check-in desk to the doormen. Godswill especially impressed us. He greeted us at the entrance, helped with parking, and brought our bags to the room with the biggest smile. He was helpful, kind, and genuinely friendly, and left an excellent impression. The resort is lucky to have him. We spent a few hours in the casino and were disappointed that the slots were so tight. Aside from that, we had a wonderful stay.

The room was quiet, and it was easy to set the temperature because the instructions were right there. The hotel's holiday decor was cheerful, and both the hotel and room were impressively clean and nicely decorated. Craig, I think, was lovely and helpful on the phone and in person when we checked in. We had a great dinner at the Casual restaurant and enjoyed the Elvis show. It was our second show there, and we don't gamble. The fast food area was great and well maintained. We've been telling others about our experience, and there's been a lot of interest.

The hotel is a little way from the center, but Pickering Casino Resort is a huge, luxurious place. Our room was spacious and beautiful, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bathroom had everything we needed, including a handy makeup removal towel. I also liked being able to mirror my phone screen to the TV to watch Netflix. The soundproof walls helped us get a restful night's sleep. The parking is a bit of a walk from the hotel. The casino entrance is closer to the lot, but staff there wouldn't let us walk through the casino. That would have been kinder, especially since it was snowing.

The casino was very clean, cleaner than many others I've visited, and the slot attendants and bartender were friendly and attentive. Still, the place felt quite empty and low on energy. It was disappointing to find the large sports bar closed by 1030pm on a Thursday during Easter long weekend. Live music or a DJ near the gaming floor could make the atmosphere more lively. Service and cleanliness were great, but the experience lacked energy.
