It sounded like a lovely place, which makes this a real shame. They overbooked, then called to say they couldn’t honor our reservation because too many people had booked at the same time. They didn’t offer a credit or any workable option for my partner and me. A chance to book another weekend or a credit for a future stay would have made it easier to accept. Also, the owner doesn’t speak any French. We’re in Quebec, and you have to manage in French. Be careful with your reservations.

Horror story. I paid for the reservation a month ahead, then drove 10 hours to check in and was told it had been canceled. No help, no refund. Don't go there, it’s a hassle. The VRBO company I dealt with did nothing to help and left me stuck with the problem. Customer service clearly isn’t their priority, it’s more money. 🤮
