L' Auberge Doucet Inn

Room 14 looks out toward the sunset, though we chose to sit outside on the lawn in the yellow chairs with a pint instead. The room was spotless and the staff were great. Breakfast was the best we had on the trip. Cheticamp is spread out and doesn’t really have a downtown, so most places aren’t within walking distance. Still, it was a great stay and a pleasant surprise.

The free ride to nearby restaurants was such a nice touch. Since the place is a bit north of most restaurants, the complimentary taxi service meant we could have a couple of drinks without worrying about getting back. The room was very clean, with beautiful floors and a modern a/c unit, and had everything I wanted for a comfortable night away from home. Staff were friendly and professional. It’s a little pricey, but worth every penny. I love this place.

We stayed here while travelling around the Cabot Trail. The hilltop spot was lovely for watching the sunset. Everything was super clean, and the friendly staff had treats plus all the coffee and tea fixings ready, which we really appreciated.

The front door closing can be a bit noisy, and I could hear the people upstairs walking around in their room. It wasn’t a big deal, just something to keep in mind. Otherwise, the room was clean, check-in was easy, and everyone was super friendly. They made a reservation for us at a local restaurant, and breakfast was really good. Good location too. I’d definitely stay again.
