The grounds were beautiful, and the house was clearly well cared for. We enjoyed wandering around the property. Susan and Glen were attentive hosts and had plenty of ideas for things to do in the County. They kept checking that we were happy, which made our one-year anniversary stay feel special. I’d happily recommend it.
Breakfast was a highlight, especially the muffins. I couldn't settle on one choice, so they made me a plate with half of each, and my husband and I sometimes swapped halfway through. Our hosts also lent him cuff links when he realized he'd left his at home, then packed us an early breakfast for the drive to the Toronto airport. We were in the County for a wedding, and this was a lovely, peaceful base. Our room was quiet, comfortable in temperature, and well laid out, and the bathroom and tub were relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.
We spent the next few days fishing, relaxing by the shore, and playing with Oscar the dog. In the morning, I woke to East Lake, a field of fresh-growing vegetables, chickens exploring, and sunlight shining across it all. Breakfast was homemade French toast with fresh peaches picked that week. A great getaway from Toronto or Montreal. We loved it.
The rooms are amazing, the food was great, and the hosts were really nice and accommodating. Wellington, Picton, and Sandbanks are all close by. Their dog is adorable too 😃
Breakfast with fresh eggs from the chicken coop was so good. The rooms were clean and lovely, and the property itself is beautiful, with a lakeside fire pit and the beach nearby. Oscar greets you with a bark and a wagging tail. A must visit for anyone new to or already a fan of Prince Edward county.
