The Wilfrid

The food was one of our favorite parts. Brunches and tasting dinners made with local, sustainable ingredients were both artful and full of flavor. I'd argue even Michelin-star restaurants pale beside them. Nancy and Frank welcomed us with such warmth and attention that we felt like celebrities, and we'd happily return for their gracious hospitality. We tried the Tailored by The Wilfrid package at The Wilfrid in Prince Edward County, and left feeling renewed. The restored farmhouse mixes antiques, modern furnishings, and original art, with all the comforts of a boutique hotel. Around it are century barns, a vineyard, and quiet spots to lounge, practice yoga outdoors, or enjoy the country air. The cozy library and twinkle-lit barn are lovely spaces, and the sauna and water circuit includes a cedar barrel sauna, plunge pools, and an outdoor shower. Time outside on the property left us feeling utterly renewed. It's a special, relaxing escape, and we wholeheartedly recommend the experience. We came for our honeymoon, and The Wilfrid really felt like a home away from home. Nancy did such a beautiful job designing it, and you can tell she and Frank love what they do. Frank, thanks for what was probably the best breakfast I've ever had, a multi-course meal! There are lots of cool local farms nearby, and the fire pit was great for roasting marshmallows. Such a lovely getaway.

The brunch absolutely lives up to the hype. It was creative, delicious, and made with so much care. Frank and Nancy also had great conversations with us and gave helpful recommendations around PEC. We had an unforgettable babymoon at The Wilfrid. The home is charming and beautifully designed, with every detail feeling intentional. Frank and Nancy are warm, thoughtful hosts who are genuinely passionate about making guests feel welcome. We're already looking forward to coming back, and would highly recommend it for a relaxing, fun stay in PEC.

The grounds are beautiful, and the sauna experience was fantastic. We also explored sand banks beach nearby and had a lovely dinner at Flame and Smith. The Wilfrid felt magical and was just what my husband and I needed for our 5th wedding anniversary in the suite. Frank and Nancy were warm and welcoming, and breakfast was incredibly delicious, unlike anything we'd had before. I'd highly recommend a stay.
