That pond is a beautiful spot for skating after dark, and the kids had the mini-curling rink and little tube hill to enjoy. There’s also hockey-mini-golf. The tube hill used to be much bigger and better at its old location, though. Family Day Week had lots of neat little activities each day. Our cabin was clean and in good repair, and we really enjoyed the stay. We’d booked three nights, but a huge snowstorm brought 59cm of snow reported in Prince Albert National Park and made the roads rough. With some cancellations, the staff worked hard to add a fourth night and keep us in the same cabin. Thank you! The snow made for fun snowmobiling, but removal was slower than I expected. I figured a place this big might have more bobcat operators, though I know it was a huge amount of work and the staff did what they could with what they had. Workers came by our cabin every day to clear the decks and entrance. Everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Dinner at the Fredrich was pricey, but delicious, and it’s nice to eat there once or twice on a trip. The gift shop had plenty of nice things, but the prices were high, so we didn’t buy anything. The pool was good, the waterside didn’t bite, and the hot tub was warm. There were lots of bubbles and grime around its edges throughout our trip, though, and it could have been cleaner. We truly enjoyed our stay and will be back next year. Beautiful getaway.

The pool was our one real issue. We booked a time because we were told we had to, but when we arrived there were several families already in the pool. It didn’t seem like they were limiting the area to just a couple of parties. The hot tub was extremely dirty too, with a black, oily rim around the edge. Apart from that, we had a wonderful weekend with friends. Our four-bedroom cabin was spacious and clean, and we had a great meal with excellent service when we ate at the restaurant a couple of times. Everyone was very friendly. No other complaints.

The townhouse was spacious, clean, and worked well, and the free activity rentals and other amenities were great. It’s a wonderful winter resort and a hidden gem in Saskatchewan. A couple of times, the front desk was slow and difficult to reach. Neither the phone in my room nor the one by the pool worked for contacting guest services. That was a small issue, though, and I’d definitely recommend the place.

The room cost a lot but offered little value, so I checked out early and wouldn’t return. I was here for two nights for a work conference, and the experience was very disappointing. The location was good, but cleanliness and service fell short. There was no complimentary drinking water, the air-conditioning didn’t work properly, and the room was uncomfortably hot. Opening the windows let in mosquitoes and smoke. I also found a hair in the bedsheets, which raised serious hygiene concerns.
