Fishing and paddling were so relaxing, and the owners were really friendly. The lake looked beautiful at sunrise and sunset, and we even saw the Milky Way. I’ve just got back and had a fantastic time. The ice cream and pizza in town were memorable too. We’ll absolutely go again. Highly recommended!

Bring what you’ll need, since the nearby town is tiny and has only a few bars, restaurants, and stores. We found the resort clean and well organized, and our host was friendly and attentive to safety. It was a quiet time to visit, which made the stay especially relaxing. Swimming isn’t safe in the lake, but fishing, paddling, boating, and jet skiing are good options. We also really enjoyed the free paddle boats. Our room had what we needed for a short stay: a fridge, toaster, microwave, pans, glasses, kettle, extra blankets, plus a fan and barbecue supplies. A peaceful, enjoyable getaway.

Parking is pricey, but the owner was very fair and SUPER helpful when we launched. The boat ramp is a bit rundown and uneven. I’d highly recommend the spot.

After I left my fishing rod in our room at sunrise resort, the owner found it and agreed to send it by FedEx. He never did. When we called again, he said a friend who lived near us could pass it along, but that friend never got in touch. We phoned the owner several times and never heard from them.

The rooms are nice and the location is excellent, but customer service was poor. I made requests and nothing really got resolved. The front desk staff always seemed too busy to follow up on issues or requests.
