Basecamp Resorts Revelstoke

The hot tub after a full day of snowboarding was the best part. We had a one-bedroom pet-friendly place that was perfect for us and our dog. It’s a great little resort. You’re not downtown, but with a vehicle everything is only minutes away, and there’s also a bus stop right here. We’ll definitely stay again.

Basecamp revelstoke was a perfect home base for our recent ski trip with my fiancé and friends. The units were clean, comfortable and had what we needed, including kitchen supplies and in-suite laundry. The Columbia River views were beautiful, and the hot tub was ideal for a soak after skiing. Check-in and check-out were super easy. Our group had a lovely time, and I’d highly recommend staying here :)

The rooms were very clean, and the location was excellent, a 15 min drive to RMR. Walking through the parking lot needed close attention because of the ice this week. The kitchen was lacking a few things that only mattered if you plan to cook meals. It had bowls, plates, knives, forks, spoons, glasses, mugs, a decent chef knife, flippers, whisk and ladle. I brought a sharpener. Missing were a veggie peeler, grater, large serving plates and bowls, potato masher, scissors, juice pitcher and some smaller items. The website said there’d be olive oil, but we found cooking spray in the cupboard. One oven mitt had a hole burned all the way through. The biggest frustration was that neither dishwasher in our 4 bedroom unit did a passable job. Maybe the spray arms were clogged or the provided detergent wasn’t good enough, but bowls still had stuck-on soft food like porridge or stew, and Rubbermaid containers were clearly still dirty. We wound up handwashing everything. We appreciated the thorough recycling program and compost bucket. Some VRBO and Booking.com places I’ve stayed in before had gas fireplaces, which are always welcome after a ski day.
