We took the city bus to the resort every day and it worked well, though it would’ve been nice if the hotel offered a few free passes like some others nearby. Walking into the city was relaxing too, as long as you’re prepared to go through snow in the cold. The room was on the small side, but it had plenty of hooks for wet ski clothes. The bed and bedding were comfortable and clean, the bathrooms and showers were roomy, and the hot tub worked great with a very nice shower. Staff were accommodating and brought clean towels whenever we asked.

The stay felt safe and very family-friendly, and it was affordable. Everyone on staff welcomed us with such positive energy. Check-in and checkout were easy, the room was clean and fresh, the bathroom was spacious, and we weren’t disturbed by other rooms at all. This is easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had so far, and it’ll always be our first choice in Revelstoke. #homely_vibes

The hotel bar had fantastic drinks and really good cocktails, and both staff and visitors were good people. It seemed oddly quiet that weekend, especially for such a good, affordable spot. We came from Calgary, but didn’t ski because I’d hurt myself at sunshine the day before. When we return to ski, we’ll stay here again. One thing puzzled us: there was loud noise across the street late at night, maybe construction, the train, or something else. It seemed like some kind of construction, and there ought to be bylaws against noise that loud so late.

The rooms are simple, clean, modern, and well equipped, and the place feels relaxed rather than stuffy. The staff are phenomenal, and they don’t just accept dogs, they make them feel welcome. I’m worried because I heard the hotel was recently bought by an American company. I won’t change my rating for that, but I’ve seen American companies buy Canadian resort or hotel properties, cut staff wages, and raise room prices just to improve profits. Then long-time employees leave, service and reputation suffer, and upkeep declines. Maybe that won’t happen here, and time will tell, but I’m not holding my breath. I checked the parent company’s main website, and its “Responsibility” link is broken. Shocker.

It’s close to restaurants and shops, and the rates were very reasonable in late April. The rooms are modern, clean, and cozy, with friendly staff. I especially liked the blackout blinds, which helped me sleep peacefully. I’d stay here again if I pass through Revelstoke.
