Travelodge By Wyndham Richmond Hill

The building is old and sits in the heart of older Richmond Hill, so that’s something to keep in mind, though I didn’t mind it myself. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and they were very accommodating about a slightly later checkout since I had a funeral just after noon. Online check-in was easy, and customer service was great when I called, on arrival, and at checkout.

My three nights in November were quiet, and the staff were nice. The heater worked well, the room was clean, and it was good enough for me. Breakfast had a big selection for a motel: waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, hashbrowns, yogurt, bananas, little muffins, and a few other things. The fridge kept my drinks cold, but made a weird scooting noise. At first I thought it came from another room. There’s a cafe/club downstairs and attached to the property. One night the lobby sounded a bit noisy when I came back. I was on the third floor, so I’m not sure if people on the first floor can hear it.

The staff were friendly, professional, and ready to help throughout our three-day holiday stay. The service was superb, and the stay was worth it. A wonderful, memorable few days.

They asked me for a deposit and still won’t give it back. Then at 2 am they plowed the parking lot and woke everyone up. When I complained about the noise, they kept going and showed no courtesy toward the guests. They were rude to me, and the customer service was the worst. I’ve never had a worse experience at a hotel. They don’t care about customers. A horrible place, and I’ll never return. I’d give zero stars if I could.
