We got around by bus and subway, and it was handy having Costco and 7-eleven within walking distance. Still, most places were far away, which was our fault for not planning ahead. If you want to explore more of the city, I'd look for a hotel closer in. For an airport stay, though, this is a great option. It's a very short ride away, with a complimentary shuttle both ways. Our room was spacious, pretty, and clean, the desk staff were helpful and kind, and breakfast had loads of choices. I'd stay again.

We spent a night at the Bridgeport Holiday Inn before leaving our car there for a week while we travelled to Mexico. The shuttle service was excellent, and the driver was helpful to everyone. After we returned, we called the front desk from the airport and the shuttle arrived 15 minutes later. We added another night to our return booking, and Abdi was a big help. He was patient and very professional with the family ahead of us, who had a member with special needs. We really like the Holiday Inn on Bridgeport and have enjoyed every interaction with the staff. The room faced Costco's loading docks, and with the window open you could hear activity at all hours. We didn't hear much traffic from Oak Street Bridge, though. Parking is available at the hotel, including short-term parking like we arranged. The rooms are clean but not large. Beds and pillows were moderately to fairly comfortable, and the bathroom was bright and clean. There's also a small fridge and coffee machine. Our check-in and checkout went smoothly, and the included breakfast was the usual Canadian mid-chain hotel fare. It's a handy, reasonably priced place for the airport or Vancouver: there's a direct airport shuttle, and Bridgeport Skytrain station is a short walk away.

Costco is right across the street, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The free airport shuttle is a nice extra, too. We had a fantastic visit: the room was spotless and breakfast was plentiful and good. Ryan and Terry on the night shift, Rose from breakfast, and Leo driving the shuttle were all friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!
