The Westin Wall Centre, Vancouver Airport

I always have a great stay here, whether before or after a flight. The service is consistently high quality, and the rooms are really nice. I can’t recommend it enough if you’re flying into or out of YVR. One change I’d suggest is replacing the plastic water bottles in the rooms and at check-in with something more environmentally friendly, like aluminum bottles. The tap water in the room is perfectly drinkable, so bottled water isn’t really needed.

The hot apple cider in the lobby was a treat. We also had a comfortable, spotless room with a lovely ocean view, and the airport shuttle made getting to and from the hotel easy. We arrived well before the standard 4:00 pm check-in, but the staff kindly arranged complimentary early check-in at 10:00 am. That made a big difference after traveling. The team were amazing, attentive to every detail, and provided thoughtful, exceptional service. The Westin Wall Centre - Vancouver Airport is in a great location, and I’d happily stay again. Highly recommend!

Alex and Ethan at the front desk were the reason I’m giving this review 4 stars. When I checked out and honestly described the previous night, they listened with empathy, apologized even though it wasn’t their fault, and offered to cover my meal and give me additional Marriott points. They showed real compassion and excellent customer service. I’d gone straight from YVR after my connecting travel plans changed at the last minute, following hours in airports. At check-in, I asked if there were rooms, and the man at the desk said yes and told me to book online while I stood there, which I did. Even after I explained my long and frustrating trip, he didn’t acknowledge it or show any empathy. He just handed over a key without explaining any amenities. I found the interaction cold and rude, and felt worse than when I arrived. The room faced the freeway, and cars and slamming doors from neighboring rooms kept me awake all night.

My international flight landed early, and with nine hours until my evening connection, I stayed here for the day. It’s very close to the airport, and the staff were kind and friendly. They let me check in early, which I really appreciated, and the comfortable bed made it a great place to rest before my next flight. There’s an airport shuttle, though I didn’t use it this time.
