The river view and setting are the best parts. It’s in Rimouski city, with the river right below, and benches where you can sit and take in the view. There’s free parking right in front of the door. The rooms were simple but clean, with comfy beds and clean sheets. Since there were three of us, they gave us two rooms joined together. I’d suggest bringing your own shampoo and conditioner. I’d recommend it if you want a simple place with a good view.

The view is amazing, and it’s good value. The staff were very friendly, and the room had everything we needed, including a fridge, microwave and TV.

It’s a nice place, though the room was just so-so for the price. A breakfast bar would’ve been a nice addition.

My two weeks traveling around Eastern Canada included stays at more than ten hotels, and I’ve never been treated this way. This was the last day of my trip, and unfortunately it ended on the worst note. I often travel and have stayed in all kinds of hotels at different prices, so this was especially disappointing. I feel discriminated against, and believe they turned my family away because we are Chinese, then sent us to another motel that demanded a $140 deposit. I find that completely unacceptable. I arrived at the reception at 4:30 PM looking for a room for three that night. I hadn’t booked online because I saw two quadruple rooms available, and I knew a website booking would mean the motel paid a commission. The staff member refused us, saying they were full, and suggested Motel Colonial, where he said a room was available. But Google Maps and Booking.com still showed two rooms, so I asked whether one would actually be available if I booked and paid online. He then said the rooms weren’t ready and needed water and other things prepared, while still insisting the motel was full. It didn’t make sense to me that rooms not ready would be listed for people to book and pay for. My father said to forget it, since he’d seen that their beach wasn’t even accessible, and suggested we go elsewhere. We went to the motel the staff member recommended, but they required a $140 deposit. Around 6:30 PM, I checked Motel Rimouski again: one of the two quadruple rooms had been booked since we left, and the other still showed as available two hours later. Yet they had refused to accommodate our family.
