We drove seven hours after booking late that afternoon, and only found out from someone in the parking lot that the power would be shut off at 9 a.m. The pool was due to open at 8, but would close at 9 because of the outage. Our little one was excited to swim and use the water slide, so I checked the opening time after we arrived. Why wasn't the planned outage mentioned when I booked or paid? We got there at 11 p.m. and would basically have to leave by 9 unless we wanted to sit in the dark with our 3-year-old. The front desk offered nothing. As a business owner, I can't imagine keeping information like that from guests. I've traveled a lot and had all kinds of service, but this was unbelievable and shocking. They did a lot of people dirty.

We stayed two nights in a clean, stylish hotel, but some of the basics were strange. There was no service during our stay: no maid and no fresh towels. To get coffee supplies for the next morning or clean glasses, we had to ask at reception. I understand not replacing towels automatically, but clean glasses too? For a hotel that isn't inexpensive, it's hard to believe these basics aren't provided. The first night we checked the extensive takeout menu and decided to eat in the room, but the only options available were nachos or pizza. Nope.

The rooms were spacious, with elegant furnishings, and I slept really well both nights. The soundproofing was excellent, the beds very comfortable, and the bathroom felt luxurious, with elegant toiletries. We also had very fast internet. The hotel overlooks the St. Lawrence River and is in a great location. It was all at a fantastic price. One of the nicest hotels in North America, in my view. If you're visiting Rimouski, this is the place to stay. I wish I'd booked more than two nights.

The only downside was that the rooms weren't cleaned during the stay. Otherwise, it was a very nice hotel, with clean and comfortable rooms. I'd recommend staying here.

Friendly staff, good food and nice accommodations made this a beautiful hotel to stay at while visiting Rimouski. It had all the comforts of home.
