Hotel Le Navigateur

The location and room were great, and the cleaning staff were lovely. Halfway through my stay they came by to ask if we needed anything. The front desk, though, seemed unsure what they were doing. I was charged three separate times, the room fan and AC didn't work, and my room card stopped working twice, so I had to get replacements both times. Terrible experience.

The spa wasn't very good, and there's no breakfast included or pool. I also had to pay 100$ to keep my dog, even though she's an emotional support animal. They said they couldn't refuse her, but still charged me. I hated the bathroom door too, since there's a small gap where people can see what you're doing.

For $280 a night, this place didn't feel worth it to me. It seemed like a refurbished office building, and the layout was awkward: to reach reception from the ground floor you have to go outside and around the restaurant, through it, or up to the second floor and back down. The side doors to the first floor were open to anyone, with no security card needed. Our room had two double beds, two casual chairs and a desk chair in front of the TV, but no table. Other rooms we passed had one. The front desk said there should be a pullout table under the desk, but ours didn't have it. When one of us ate at the desk, the other two had to eat on the bed, blocking the TV. Dust was collecting in the empty space by the windows, and the ice bin had no plastic bag. The frosted glass barn door to the bathroom has the hotel logo, but it still lets people see you on the toilet, and sounds carry through it. If you need privacy, there are several separate bathrooms along the hallways. The TV also kept getting attempts from other people trying to connect wirelessly. We got Netflix security codes on the screen for someone else's connection several times. I'd move on to another hotel.

The website gives a misleading impression of the hotel. The pool and jacuzzi shown there aren't part of it, they're at a separate spa across the street, which costs 40$/adult for a four-hour block and must be reserved ahead. There was no usable spa at the hotel, and the receptionist didn't even know if it was working.
