Motel Colonial

Really nice rooms. The split AC was quiet, and the walls and door were insulated well enough that we couldn't hear other guests or traffic.

It's handy being right on Route 132, with a Super C across the street for easy shopping. It may suit business travelers passing through, but doesn't feel ideal for a relaxing vacation or a quiet night's sleep. The motel is right by a main road, and traffic woke us as early as 5 a.m. Just as we were getting back to sleep, the bedside alarm suddenly went off. Who set that? It was really hard to rest. The room was very clean, but we also had to pay a $140 deposit.

I'm glad my company paid for the room, since after more than a week here I'm not impressed at all. I'm here for two more nights. So far my towels have only been replaced once, and the room hasn't been vacuumed at all. My garbage is now sitting outside with a note asking for towels. I'm not asking for much, and I'm not usually someone who leaves bad reviews, but there have been too many problems. The room was clean when I arrived. The first time housekeeping came, they made the bed and changed the towels but didn't vacuum, even though it needed it. I let that go. The next time I put out the cleaning sign and left a note asking for fresh sheets because the old ones kept sliding off. They put on new sheets and made the bed perfectly, but left everything else untouched. The bathroom towels were still there, I had no hand towels, and the garbage wasn't emptied. I had to find a maid working and ask if I could empty it myself. Customer service at the desk has also been bad. They got my reservation wrong, insisted they were right, and barely apologized once they realized the mistake. This happened twice, once when I arrived and again a few days later, with two different people who were equally rude.

We had a room at the back that was updated, clean and very quiet. It was quite small, though, and the bathroom was really tiny too.
