Wildflowers Country Inn

We loved spending the afternoon on the little front porch, soaking up the sun and listening to the birds. Guest House #2 was just right for the two of us, with plenty of storage, a sofa, table and chairs, and everything we needed: a toaster, coffee maker, kettle, microwave, frig, dishes, glasses and cutlery. The host responded quickly whenever we had a question or request and gave us good local recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our three-day stay.

We only had one night in the Garden View ensuite unit, and I wish we’d had time for more. Our group of three felt at home right away, and Rob was a great host, quick to answer questions and sort out the little things we mentioned. The amenities made it easy to put together a simple breakfast and pack a lunch, and the shower was wonderful. Having a half bath meant nobody had to wait while someone was showering. If mobility is limited, note there are a couple of stairs to the bathrooms. We managed them without difficulty. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat. It was an excellent place to land in Gros Morne.

Kind, helpful hosts and a location that made exploring Gros Morne easy. The town is adorable, and this was exactly what we needed while visiting the area. We’re hoping to book again next time.

Rocky Harbour is a great little village, with everything you need and good food at Java Jacks just a short walk away. Wildflowers was cozy, charming, comfortable, convenient and friendly, with all the things that matter for a comfortable stay. It also made a perfect base for visiting Gros Morne, including the Tablelands, West Brooke Pond and the mountain. The drive in is spectacular, so leave extra time to enjoy the views.
