The reception staff were genuinely courteous, both the two men in the evening and the young woman in the morning. The rest of the place was a letdown, though. The room heat worked, but the bathroom stayed cold, the floor was freezing, and the shower surround was cracked, with signs of water getting in for who knows how long. It could be worse underneath. The hotel looks like it wants to impress, but the little maintenance details tell another story. At the restaurant, the salmon plate with rice and vegetables looked nice, yet the seasoning and ingredients fell flat. For $30, I expected better than something that tasted precooked. It's a shame the management and restaurant chef don't seem to put in the same effort as the front desk.

The room had a comfortable bed and was nicely equipped with a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. The building is showing its age, but the rooms are still in good shape.

The rooms were nice and cool, and I liked the dessert, especially the dark chocolate brownies, they were soooo good. The food itself wasn't really to my taste. I also wish they'd put out hot chocolate powder, since not everyone drinks coffee.

Le Noranda made for a great stay from start to finish. We spent time in the room, at the restaurant, and in the spa area, and all of it was five-star for us.

Even with the hotel full for the yearly festival, breakfast was a pretty weak continental offering. There was no à la carte option on the weekend, just a buffet of very scrambled eggs, bacon or sausages, and potatoes, all without much seasoning. Fruit choices were limited and there was only one flavoured yogurt. Dinner at this restaurant is absolutely amazing, so I expected better quality in the morning. Everything tasted bland, so I covered it all in maple syrup 😂
