I was in town for events at UVic and rented the 'Diamond Cottage' for four nights at the end of August 2023. It’s a great location, with a grocery store, liquor store, pharmacy, pub, and a couple of restaurants literally a two-minute walk away. Campus is about a 15-minute walk, either along the road or on a hiking path. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable, and I felt safe and secure. The owners are working on the yard, with lots of flowers in bloom. Communication from the owner was brief, but when the fob didn’t work, it was replaced very quickly. I’d definitely rent here again if I return to UVic.

Basic dorm-style room, with no breakfast and a shared bathroom. The locks were noisy, the door seals let in drafts, and the hardwood floor had no rug.
