Such a charming little place. The hostess went above and beyond to sort out a few minor room problems, and we even chatted in my very basic French. À bientôt!

I was grateful for the comfortable bed after spending the day riding my motorcycle. It was firm, like the one I have at home, and the room was clean and thoughtfully arranged, with small extras like a mending kit and toothbrush. The decor feels like the mid-80s or early 90s, which I actually loved, though it isn’t contemporary. It’s a great place to rest along Highway 20. I called from another hotel at 10:45 because I needed a room after a long day on the road. The elderly man said the store closed at 11:00, but kept it open until I got there at 11:10. He was very kind and caring, and made me feel at ease. Given today’s prices, I expected to pay over $150 for a last-minute room, so I was pleasantly surprised that it cost $108. I travel a lot by motorcycle, car, and plane, and service comes first for me, followed by room comfort and then looks. The service was friendly and polite from the moment we met.

After a 10-hour drive, we really appreciated how clean the simple room was. It had everything we needed: a fridge, TV, little table with two chairs, coffee maker, and a very comfortable bed.

We were worn out from driving back home to Nova Scotia from Ontario, and decided to stop for the night when it got late. The owner was friendly and had us in a room quickly. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the AC worked great. The bathroom looked brand new, and I hadn’t expected it to be so nice for the price. There were even little shampoo bottles, which surprised me too. Some of these reviews don’t seem to recognize how much work it takes to run a small motel. We appreciated our stay after that long drive and would stay again when driving back to Ontario.

The owner suggested we use just one of the two queen rooms I’d reserved for two adults and two teens, since each room also had a sofa bed for two. That was a nice surprise, and we ended up paying for one room instead of two. Bravo for being so honest. The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything we needed.
