Comfort Inn Kapuskasing

The younger woman with black hair was super helpful when I arrived late at night. The room was okay, but it clearly hadn’t been mopped. There were bits on the shower that I could scratch off, plus a hair left by a previous guest. I checked for bugs and thankfully didn’t find any. The cleaning standards need work. It did the job for one night, but some improvements are needed.

The rooms and hotel were really clean, and the staff were super friendly. It’s pet friendly, with continental breakfast included. About $110 for the night is a pretty good price. I’d recommend it if you’re passing through and need somewhere to sleep.

The parking lot needs more reliable snow clearing and salting. I’ve slipped on the ice several times walking to my car. Snowmobiles also need a designated parking area, since they often take up too much room and leave too little space to get into nearby vehicles. The mattresses, plumbing, and overall property need a serious remodel.

Nothing was done after I raised the problems, and the stay was a real disappointment. The room smelled terrible as soon as I walked in. There was hair across the bathroom floor, dirt on the room floor, and a large smudge on the fridge door. The sink was cracked, the toilet paper holder was dangling, and a bucket sat under the sink to catch a leak. We were given only two towels and no extras, and that towel holder was broken too. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
