I called to cancel after realizing I’d booked the room by mistake. The website said cancellations were allowed until Jul 12, the day of my booking, but they refused to return my $100 deposit. The way I was treated on the phone was rude and unprofessional.

We both really enjoyed our massages, and the outdoor Nordic baths were lovely. The food was good too, though dinner followed much the same pattern each night, with the meat for the hot slate and the soup of the day being the main changes. Cooking our own food on the hot slate was a fun touch. The owner works hard and is very welcoming, but seems to handle nearly everything. Service has some limits: the lobby is locked and the front desk doesn’t open until 8:00 a.m., so get extra coffee cartridges for your room the night before if you’ll need them. Service is in one language, and for what’s offered, we found the auberge a bit pricey.

The meal was excellent from beginning to end: delicious food, a fun hotplate presentation, and great service. Since it was rather pricey, though, I was a little disappointed that a virgin ceasar seemed to be about the only non-alcoholic cocktail option.

The food was fantastic, with plenty of choices for different tastes, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were happy with our 90 minute massage and our therapist. The property is beautiful and only about a four minute walk from Val Saint-Côme ski mountain. We’d recommend it! 👌

Had a great experience. Everything on offer, from the food and lodging to the spa and massage, felt high quality and well done.
