The bar/pub seems to be the main draw here, but I wouldn't stay again. Our room was ridiculously small, with the sink in the main area and barely enough space to move or store our suitcases. It should be advertised as a micro-suite, not a hotel room, especially at $149.00. We booked a room with two Queen beds for our family of three, but the key for that room wouldn't work. With no front office or staff on site, we had to call, and the person on the phone couldn't sort out the technical problem. We ended up downgraded to two double beds. The electronic key box setup and overly complicated booking process made for very lazy service. Definitely a place I'd stay away from.

Room 14, "Mignonne", was spotless when we arrived, and I love that every room has its own name. The disinfectant smell was strong, as others have said, though to us it was more like a clean pool or spa and reassuring. The room had great soundproofing from the neighbors, a firm but comfortable bed, working air conditioning, and a mini bar with clear prices. We didn't take anything, but liked having the option. The self check-in and check-out with the DEA automated valet key panel was easy, and assigned parking for each room was a plus. We could walk across the parking lot to the Bistro with the same name for breakfast or dinner. Dinner gets busy, so I'd reserve ahead. We stayed Friday and Saturday in mid-July and had a wonderful time, especially for the price. A couple of things could be better: some guests smoked by their doors, and the smell can drift in if your window is open, though it didn't affect us. Louder hallway conversations outside the rooms at night were more bothersome, since voices carry even though the rooms themselves are quiet. A small sign with quiet hours, say 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM, might help. It feels silly to need one, but common sense isn't always common. We'd absolutely come back. Kudos to the staff for promptly refunding our deposit and keeping the billing clear and honest. And apologies to the cleaning staff, the only bill I had to leave was $5 U.S. Hope that was okay!

They don't usually offer takeout, but were very accommodating when I ordered. The staff were friendly, and everything was prepared perfectly.

The restaurant was adorable, the ribs were delicious, and the wait staff were lovely. One woman, in her early twenties, had a beautiful smile. It gets packed on weekends with all the snowmobile activity, so reservations are essential. We stayed one Saturday night while attending a training about 25 minutes away. The room was a bit small, but fine for an overnight stay. It was very clean and quiet apart from some snowmobile noise outside. The beds were very comfortable and firm, and automated check-in was quick and painless. I'd return for another training or if I need somewhere to stay in the area. I'd also love to see the lakefront in summer.

We had a great first snowmobiling trip in Quebec, and we're so glad we chose La CACHE du LAC! The owners were wonderful, accommodating, and helpful. Our renovated rooms were clean and nicely done, and all the restaurant staff were amazing. The food was delicious.
