Chez Maleterre

Eddie and Carl made us feel completely at home, and their hospitality really completes the stay. The quiet riverside house has so much character and is meticulously maintained, making it an ideal escape. I can't remember seeing a five-star rating for a B&B, or really any hospitality business, and now I understand how these two managed it. C’est tiguidou! It was a highlight of our trip.

The sea view from our room was incredible, and everything was clean, including the nice bathroom. Eddie and Carl are lovely hosts, and the homemade breakfast was really, really delicious. Such a perfect stay. I can't imagine a better place.

The view of the St-Lawrence River is incredible, and whales and Belugas often came close to the front porch. We also enjoyed memorable walks near the beach and around the area. Chez Maleterre has a wonderful setting for getting away from the busy pace of life, whether for a quiet weekend to recharge, a week of meditation, a romantic break, or time to work remotely. We felt at home as soon as Eddie and Carl welcomed us. The rooms are comfortable, and the fireplace made it especially cozy while we took in the scenery. The included homemade continental breakfast was delicious, and the library has plenty of books to get lost in. Carl, one of the hosts, is also an acupuncture professional with more than 30 years of experience and can take good care of you. Chez Maleterre exceeded my expectations. It's a hidden gem with a fantastic location and hosts, comfortable rooms, and remarkable views. I left feeling that it was a special place to stay.

They found out my partner was celebrating his birthday and surprised us with a homemade apple pie. The breakfast was homemade too, healthy, and not too sweet. This historic B&B is a wonderful getaway, with a beautiful view of the Saint Laurent river, gracious hosts in Eddie & Carl, and an accommodation set up to make guests happy. What more could you ask for?
