That view of the St. Lawrence River and the park right beside the place made the stay special. We loved the town too, with its historic charm, lively feel, restaurants and little shops all nearby, plus the SAQ just a short walk away. After a long day driving, the cozy, home-like rooms were exactly what we needed. They’re on the small side, but very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast between 8 and 9 was delicious, and our host was attentive, welcoming and exceptionally clean. When an unavoidable delay made us late after a 10-hour drive, the host happily accommodated us. We’ll definitely return. It’s easy to fall for this town.

The deck’s relaxing bathtub was a lovely way to unwind, and breakfast had plenty of fresh, tasty choices. The owner was kind and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Aubergelit has five clean, comfortable rooms. One has its own bathroom, a TV and a cozy couch, while the other rooms are inviting too and kept to a high standard. Whether you’re passing between provinces or visiting town, it feels like a homey place to pause on the road.

The owner takes care of everything, including a complimentary breakfast with coffee, tea, French toast and spread, fresh berries and yoghurt. The room was comfortable, and the place was very quiet. There are two shared bathrooms for the five guest rooms, and toiletries are provided. A lovely stay for the price.

Our room had a charming look with updated decor, and guests can use the shared living room, kitchen and deck with a hot tub. The auberge was very clean, with plenty of free parking off the street and restaurants an easy walk away. Some restaurants close on Tuesdays. The proprietor was accommodating, spoke English and was kind about our limited French. Massages are available if booked online ahead of time, and breakfast was delicious. The four upstairs bedrooms share one full-sized bathroom. We had a very pleasant stay.

The service was amazing and breakfast was great. I was surprised by how nice the place was, in a quiet spot close to the river, park and a restaurant. The town itself is nice too. A wonderful place to stay.
