Chez Choinière

I still remember the conversations I had with the welcoming people I met there. I was there in mid-August and really enjoyed the experience. Lunch was excellent, and I even learned about Turkish coffee. You can discover that part for yourselves :)

The owner was friendly, and the pancake recipe was original and delicious. But this was our worst night in Canada. Every step made the floorboards sing so loudly they woke the whole house. The bed frame had been replaced by a wooden panel, and the toilet was on a platform in the bedroom, which we did find funny. Trucks on the main road passed right under the window. The so-called private beach was two wobbly chairs in the bushes, 2km from the house.

I felt right at home in the beautiful old house, and our room was perfect, with its clawfoot bathtub. Alain's crepes were delicious, and he had lots of activity advice. Tania took great care of us, and the cheerful, friendly staff made the stay very good over the years. At the start of my stay I had terrible lower back pain, but Sylvie, the massage therapist, was a lifesaver. Thanks to her, I could run around Bic Park and climb something amazing. We met lots of lovely people. I highly recommend it. 👍

A charming place with a friendly manager and a good breakfast. There's not much to do, though.
