Le Vieux Presbytère

We came from the U.S. feeling a little uneasy about the political climate, but Pete and Pam made us feel genuinely welcome, as did the Canadians we met along the way. They were kind, warm hosts, and we also learned a lot about the area's history. I hope more Americans travel through Canada and get to appreciate the cohesive, respectful society people have built there.

The village is so peaceful, and the house is beautifully decorated. Our room, “Bois Salon,” was gorgeous and really comfortable. Peter and Pam were wonderful hosts, and breakfast was great too. We absolutely loved staying at the Vieux Presbytère and highly recommend it.

We had some lovely conversations at dinner with the other guests, and Peter's dinner was a real treat. Since we were there in October, we were offered the option, and we'd recommend it to anyone offered the same. Breakfast was a gourmet feast as well. Le Vieux Presbytere was one of the highlights of our trip from BC, with gracious, engaging hosts and a beautiful building decorated with real taste. It was the most expensive Auberge we stayed in, but you definitely get what you pay for. A fond memory of our trip to QC.

The grounds were spacious, carefully maintained, and such a peaceful break from the road. Inside, the rooms were large and lovely, and the décor throughout is gorgeous. Pam and Peter were so welcoming, and Peter's breakfast was delicious as well as beautiful to look at. I can't say enough about this place. Absolutely stunning, and we'll definitely come back for a much longer stay.
