Johanne was really friendly, and the gite was pleasant. Breakfast was a lovely spread with delicious croissants, and the hosts had thought of lots of small extras, like makeup remover pads and cotton buds. Everything seemed very clean, we slept peacefully, and enjoyed our stay. The town is beautiful and peaceful, and well worth a visit. Our room, though, felt oddly furnished and due for an update, with lots of dark, heavy pieces that reminded us of Grandma’s house. The bathroom also wasn’t properly separated from the bedroom, which made privacy a little tricky. Great stay overall, but the room could be set up better.

The photos online match what you actually get, and breakfast was quite honest. It’s good value for money. This is a very clean, well-kept ancestral house that has been passed down to the next generation since the 19th century. The inn is friendly in every way and sits near the center and the wharf, with superb mountain and fjord views. The owner and his daughter gave us a warm welcome. We stayed in the "Jeannette and Eva" suite, which was comfortable and nicely arranged, with a bedroom, dining areas, and a full bathroom.

We’d had a really good stay here two years ago, so this visit was a disappointment. I’d requested a queen bed when booking, and the owner confirmed that wouldn’t be a problem, but the room had a double bed with a mattress that was far too soft. There was no air conditioning, just a small desk fan. The bathroom was downstairs on the ground floor while the bedroom was upstairs, which wasn’t a good setup. Breakfast was nothing special, very ordinary.

Frédéric welcomed us so warmly to this beautiful place steeped in history. The room was magnificent and looked out over the fjord, and we had wonderful encounters with locals. A magnificent spot near the Saguenay Fjord.
