The dome made for a charming winter stay, with plenty of time to unwind by the fire, try the fat skis, and explore local food spots. Petit Palace, Cinque Sours, and Sombrero Taco all had plenty of character and were worth trying. We arrived late during a snowstorm, and Eric greeted us, showed us around, and helped us charge our EV when it was down to its last 10%. Google tried to send us along rue St Amand, which is a snowmobile trail at this time of year. We ran out of time for the fat bikes and cross-country skis, but still got lots of relaxing in. One thing to know if you’re after wilderness: this isn’t in Parc National de la Mauricie, but in a village on its edge, some distance by car from the backcountry.

The weather didn’t cooperate, but we still had such a cozy, lovely stay at CAMPagne. The dome was really comfortable, and our host made us feel very welcome. Thank you :)

Taking one of the FatBikes on the suggested routes was a highlight, and I also had a few good meals at nearby eateries. The property and area around it are beautiful. Staying in the dome was a lot of fun, and Eric and Annie have thought through all the details to make guests comfortable. They’re great hosts. I’d happily recommend CAMPange au Clos Sainte-Thecle!

You’re close to town, and the included electric fat bikes are a nice way to get around to the town and lakes. The staff and owner were welcoming, and the night sky views were lovely.
