Reno Motel

There was no one available to discuss the room with us; they'd simply left a key. It was run down, smelled bad, and the carpet was stained. With no air conditioning or fan, it was very warm, and we couldn't imagine staying. They wouldn't refund us. I wouldn't recommend it.

The housekeeping is outstanding and the place is cute, but the business side is poorly managed. I cancelled a June night in person and the owner said she'd immediately refund the $150 to my card. Months later, despite repeated calls and excuses that it would be sent soon, I still haven't received it. It also took weeks of emailing and calling every week, over a couple of months, to get an invoice for my stay, which held up invoicing for my whole crew for that period. Please refund me!

That note on the table said it all, you're doing a great job! We checked in a couple of hours ago for one night, and the room is nearly spotless, even by my clean-freak standards. It's simple, cozy, and the older rooms have been nicely updated by the new owner with things like bedding, beds, chairs, towels, shower curtains, and light fixtures. The motel exterior is very cute and vintage. It's hot in here, though, please add AC. That's the one thing keeping this from a 10/10. 💜

The town is beautiful, and the owners are such kind, lovely people. We had a fun room with a creative theme, a comfortable bed, and a little kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. I checked the bed closely and even the small nooks were clean. Really impressive.
