I've stayed at this hotel for decades, and I don't like what the new owners have done. The room rates are ridiculous now, and this morning there wasn't a single car in the parking lot. They tore down a beautiful old restaurant overlooking Ganges Harbour. It was the hotel's best feature and a go-to spot for locals, always busy. Locals can't stand the new one. It has no view and backs onto a parking lot. It's small, windowless, dark, and drab, and the food is so-so and overpriced.

We loved our three relaxing nights at Harbour House. The room was spacious and spotless, with a spectacular harbour view, and the bed was so comfortable that we slept really well. Fruit-infused water at reception was refreshing after exploring Salt Spring, and the music at Woodley’s restaurant gave the evenings a warm, welcoming feel. Its patio is one of the best on the island. The whole team was friendly and attentive. We can't wait to return and highly recommend Harbour House to anyone visiting Salt Spring Island.

We had a problem with our third-party booking, and the manager was understanding, flexible, and helpful. The property has been beautifully renovated in a modern style, and the rooms are clean with comfortable beds. It’s near the harbour yet peaceful and quiet, and you can walk into town. There’s also a great little pub right across the road. Would highly recommend.

The facility is clean and new, and Natasha at the front desk was welcoming and accommodating. She did her best to move us to a room with a view, and the hotel also gave us a welcome gift. Highly recommended.

I stayed one night for work and have nothing bad to say about Harbour House Hotel. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well appointed, and the location right on the water in Ganges is incredible.
