The king bed and pillows were great, and the rooms were clean and modern, especially the bathroom. There’s a restaurant just steps away that’s perfect for breakfast. It’s an ideal place to stop while traveling across Ontario, and I’d come back.

This has become our regular stop when we drive around Lake Superior. It’s right off the highway, with a gas station and restaurant attached, which is handy. The service is friendly and helpful, and the clean room, comfortable beds, and clean washrooms are welcome after a long drive.

The staff are very friendly, and the bed was comfortable. The room also had a renovated bathroom with a decent shower. It’s good to see an independent roadside motel keeping going, and The Voy is a useful option if you need a place to stay on HWY 17 near Terrace Bay in Ontario.

The restaurant serves a varied menu during the day, and my Italian co-worker liked it so much he wouldn’t stop talking about it. The convenience store and reception are open 24/7, handy for arriving late or leaving early. The rooms are small but nicely renovated, with clean bathrooms and shower heads tall enough for me, which I appreciated. The beds were so comfortable that I had my best sleep in months. Free cable and wi-fi, too. The place is literally just off the highway, and you check in at the restaurant and convenience store next door.

We stayed in the King Size Pet Friendly Room on our long trip from Newfoundland to Alberta. They even supplied a blanket and treats for our pup, which was very generous. The facility was clean and modernized. The Voy was just right for a stop along the way, and we definitely recommend it.
