Cozy Court Motel

Wendy at the counter was delightful and took time to explain what’s around the area. Our room, number 20, was very large, clean, and had updated furniture. The amenities were adequate, with a coffee maker, kettle, mini fridge, and microwave. We had no problems and would stay again.

I’ve stayed on the upper floor every year since 2002, and the rooms I’ve had have been clean. The TV and Wi-Fi are good, and there’s a mini fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave in the room. The front clerk was very friendly, and there’s lots of parking with many restaurants within walking distance. Cozy Court isn’t a Hilton, but it doesn’t cost what a Hilton does either. I’ll be back next year.

I was pretty taken aback by the staff. I tried to make a reservation, but they cancelled it because they close at 9 pm. We couldn’t catch an earlier ferry. We’d mentioned we had two children, and there was a vacancy sign, but I guess business is good enough that they don’t take late arrivals. I miss coastal hotels :-(

Six years ago, I had what felt like my only dark supernatural experience while staying at this hotel. I was in room 6. Check under the bedside table in the back rooms if it’s still the same, and you’ll see some kind of satanic drawing. The hotel is what it is, a roof over your head close to town. When I came back to visit family, who have since moved to Seashelt, the manager was extremely rude. They wouldn’t let me see the room and told my girlfriend and me to leave immediately.
