This is one of the best hostels I’ve stayed in. The new manager likes to wander around and gently encourage people to put away their devices and talk with each other. The common spaces feel homey and welcoming, and they fit a surprising number of people without feeling crowded. They keep menus from local restaurants on a bulletin board and are happy to give directions. I have a minor disability that needed accommodation, and they handled it graciously and without fanfare. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a real travel experience where you meet people and get to know the area.

There are two cats, one is a few months old and the other is 18 months. The hostel owner is very friendly, and there’s a kitchen if you want to cook. There’s just one washroom shared with four other visitors. It’s a great hostel, and I’d recommend staying here if you can’t find a place in a hotel.

A cozy, very clean and tidy hostel. The deck is great for relaxing, reading, or chatting. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for a clean, cozy place to stay.

Garbage is often left strewn around Lamprey Lane. The waste is managed poorly. Get a bin with a lid and line it with plastic bags, ask around. Your Neighbours are not amused.
