Motel Au SenAbi

There’s no restaurant at the motel, but several places nearby deliver. The owners keep the rooms and grounds in great shape, and they’re friendly and easy to talk to. I’d gladly come back for a few nights, and definitely recommend the Motel Senabi. We were three family members and a pet, looking for a place halfway between Montreal and Waskaganish. This was the only available spot that accepted pets. It was a last-minute booking for one night, and we hadn’t expected much from a small motel in Senneterre, QC, so we figured we’d just grin and bear it. We were pleasantly surprised. The husband and wife who run the six or seven units live in a small house on site and are available if you have questions or problems, though we didn’t need anything. Our room had two queen beds, a small table, a desk and chair, a mini fridge, free Wi-Fi, and a 32-inch flat-screen TV with cable. The beds were comfortable, with blankets and soft throws, and there were plenty of towels for three. Large windows let in lots of light, and the upper windows opened so we could get fresh air without letting in the rain. The sink, tub, tiles, and toilet were clean. The building sits back from the road, so it was quiet at night. Guests could also use recycling and garbage bins in a fenced area nearby, plus an outdoor smoking area.
