I went to the bar to remember what this place was like when I was growing up, and it’s changed so much for the worse. The bathrooms were a sad sight. Only one toilet was even remotely clean, the paper was in a waste bin, and they’re maybe cleaned once a day. They didn’t even have orange juice, so one of the workers bought juice boxes to substitute. It used to be so much better. This place is a shell of what it once was, and I wouldn’t recommend going unless you want to use that bathroom.

I stayed from may 27-29 2022, and I wish I hadn’t paid for two nights. There were bugs in the bed sheets, the shower drain was clogged so I stood in a pool of water, and the TV didn’t work. There was no hand soap, the coffee packet was already open, and there was no cream or sugar. I also noticed the fire extinguisher by the room door was marked for recharging. When I asked the front desk about wifi, the worker came from playing the vlts with an alcoholic drink in hand to the counter. At checkout around 9 am, the place was closed. A man yelled from an open window that it didn’t open until noon, so I left the keys on the table in the room. The place is very run down, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I would have gone somewhere else for the second night.

I spent 5months working in the south and had a great experience. The wonderful husband and wife team looked after everything we needed, and the food was down home cooking. Thanks Peggy!
