Shawnigan Lake Bed and Breakfast

It took until this trip for us to get back to the island, but the wait was worthwhile, and we especially appreciate that our deposit from before the pandemic was honoured. The Shawnigan Lake B&B is tucked into the forest and feels peaceful and relaxing. Gabriele was a wonderful hostess and easy to talk with, with tasty breakfasts and great suggestions for things to do nearby. Our room was spacious, fresh, and clean, with lovely wood furnishings. Thanks, Gabriele, we'd highly recommend staying here while visiting the island.

There was an old furniture smell in the room. At 2 am, I woke up to cars passing in front of the house with loud music. I also left my charger there. Instead of returning my actual charger, she sent a really bad one that doesn't even work.

Gabriele is so kind and thoughtful, and her breakfast was a lovely surprise, healthy, delicious, and full of care. The location suited us well while my son was taking the SAT at Shawnigan Lake School. We walked him there early in the morning, then had a relaxing walk back for breakfast. This is a peaceful, comfortable B&B, and we'll return on our next visit to Shawnigan Lake. Thank you, Gabriele!

I came back in June, when everything was green and the rain was gentle, and the room was just as comfortable as I remembered. This time the host's warm hospitality and breakfast touched me even more, and I hope to visit again. On my autumn visit, I loved the calm atmosphere, the location, and the furnishings and interior, with red and yellow leaves all around the room. The host made me feel at ease, and breakfast was beautiful and delicious. A peaceful, wonderful B&B.
