Hôtel Shediac

We arrived late on October 18, 2025, during fall, on a road trip from Ontario down to Halifax, and wow, Hotel Shediac was a beautiful surprise in this small tourist town. I was so happy we chose it for the night, especially after reading it had filed for bankruptcy in 2023 and been taken over by another owner. The Halloween decorations were tasteful, classy, and fun. There was a pool, hot tub, and Starbucks, which was a bonus. The hotel and rooms were spotless, and the rooms were pretty, with cozy, comfortable beds and fantastic pillows. We had a little balcony overlooking the main part of town, with a view of the water as well. Staff were lovely and the food was great. I wish all hotels met this standard. Five stars for a beautiful stay, thanks, HS!

The location was handy, with restaurants, shops, bakeries, and more within walking distance. The hotel was very clean, and staff were nice and accommodating. We came to Nova Scotia in the fall for a family vacation and stayed here with the family. The holiday decorations were very cute when we arrived. Our room had a nice view and a balcony with chairs. It also came with coffee and tea, a mini fridge, and a television. The beds were super comfortable, and the rooms were lovely. There’s room service, plus different amenities on different levels. Downstairs there’s a little coffee shop. It seemed a bit pricey to me, but it’s convenient for picking up a drink or snack to go. I’d definitely recommend staying here for your travels.

Both suites we tried were freezing. The floor was so cold we had to keep our footwear on, and I spent the first night in four sweaters and sweatpants. I wanted to try the beautiful tub, but it was too cold to get in.

I was here for business, but it would be easy to bring my family to enjoy walking around and take a short drive to the local beaches. The hotel was mid range for pricing, very clean, and inviting. Staff were friendly and offered help whenever I asked. Enjoyable stay!
