I canceled directly through the hotel's website a month before our weekend hockey tournament, since I wanted to avoid driving the dangerous highway with my older daughter and youngest. Even so, I was charged $180 on the original arrival date. I called, confused, and was told no charge had been made, but the card was charged overnight. They said the third-party booking company they used hadn't canceled it on their end, and that there was nothing they could do. Somehow, I'm left dealing with their mistake. I've filed a fraud claim with my credit card company. They agree and say they'll refund me and file a BBB report against the hotel and the people involved.

The receptionists were really friendly and did their best to make us comfortable. They even found a baby bath for my little one and mosquito repellent, which we definitely needed because the mosquitoes were relentless. The place looks a bit better from outside, but the inside is old. If you're after luxury, don't book here, and don't trust the website photos.

The room was spacious, had what we needed, and allowed pets, though we did find some fur from a previous dog. The smoke detector batteries weren't installed properly, but we fixed that easily. We stayed at the Moose Motel for two nights in early March. It was very quiet and comfortable, and the location worked perfectly for us. Two nearby restaurants were easy to walk to, and the staff were pleasant and helpful.

The price is fair, and it was quiet, which were the only good things for me. The rooms feel plain and dated, with no pictures on the walls, and the curtains don't fully cover the window, so light gets in all night. The place definitely needs work.

The location suited us perfectly, and the room was spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. It was cozy and clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
