I felt welcome as soon as I walked into Hilton Toronto Markham. The lobby is beautiful, with a great view of the entrance, and the staff were friendly and attentive. They also made one of the best Campari spritzes I've had in a long time. My room was comfortable and well-appointed, and I was impressed by how high-tech the hotel is. I requested Advil through the app when I had a headache, and they brought it right away. They also kindly gave me a one-hour late checkout. A modern, well-run place to stay in Markham, and one I'd recommend.

The room was spotless, the bed comfortable, and check-in went smoothly. Everyone I dealt with was courteous and attentive. The service exceeded what I expected, and I'd definitely recommend this hotel for an easy, pleasant stay.

Our company booked our stay at Hilton Markham, and it turned out better than expected. The room had plenty of space to settle in and relax. Everything looked clean, including the shared areas, and the corridors were tidy and nicely designed. That gave the place a more welcoming, upscale feel. A comfortable, pleasant stay from start to finish.

Our U9 girls hockey tournament stay last weekend was miserable, and I wouldn't want another team to go through the same thing. The Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre & Spa seemed extremely unfriendly to children, and it felt clear they didn't want kids staying there. They enforced a strict “no talking” rule from 6 p.m. each evening. That was very hard to manage with a hockey team coming and going. At one point, they wanted girls out of the hall even though they were quietly talking and playing with Barbies. Pool access was very limited too. You could only book at check-in, and even then you might not get a slot. If allowed, the daily swim time was just 40 minutes. Our bathtub was cracked in half and rundown, despite the hotel presenting itself as fancy. It seems to be struggling for guests and has put itself on a tournament hotel list inappropriately. A girls' team is more subdued than a boys' team, and we still had a miserable time. Sports teams should stay far away. Plenty of more reasonable hotels appreciate the business hockey teams bring.

After checkout, there was a miscommunication, but Mohit Singh, Grace at the front desk, and Manager Marcos kept in touch professionally and consistently until it was sorted out. Special thanks to Grace for her exceptional service and to Marcos for following up personally. We'd stayed in a spacious two-bedroom suite and appreciated the thoughtful fruit basket and card while the hotel was under construction. The team's professionalism and commitment to guest satisfaction stood out.
