Haven Inn

We had supper at the restaurant and enjoyed it, especially the carrot cake with cream cheese icing and Partridge Berries. We stayed here in June 2024. Our room had double beds, a microwave, and a fridge, and the bathroom was clean. The room itself was lovely, but we couldn’t get it to cool down. The thermostat had no numbers, so it was hard to set, and we ended up opening a window.

The room was clean and comfortable, and having outside access was a great option.

The stay was expensive for what we got, and we couldn’t reach management when we called. Staff seemed to have no interest in or ability to fix even small problems. They were unavailable and unwelcoming, and resisted giving us a coffee packet even though we stayed two nights. We also had just one pillow each. The room looked worn, the bathroom was small, the sink taps were reversed, and although the sink had hot water, our showers were cold. The ice machine outside our door made noise all night. This was the opposite of the warm, welcoming place advertised, and I feel I have to warn others.

We’ve stayed in dozens of motels across Canada, and this one was right at the top. We spent seven nights at Haven Inn and felt at home from the moment Sheri welcomed us. The staff were amazing, friendly, and helpful, and everything was very clean. There’s a restaurant on site, with malls and shops just around the corner. We’ve already visited dozens of models across Canada and this one was absolutely top. We’ll be back. Thank you, Haven Inn!
