Best Western St. Catharines Hotel & Conference Centre

I booked this Best Western by accident because I’d meant to stay somewhere else, and I’m so glad we ended up here. The room was one of the cleanest I’ve ever slept in, and the staff were incredibly sweet, quick, and accommodating. The restaurant had all-you-can-eat wings that night, and they were phenomenal. Big thanks to all the friendly ladies we met! 🥰

The kids were thrilled with the pool and arcade room, and having both together was a brilliant idea. The location worked well for team meals too, with Kelsey's and Montana's across the road and Costco Business next door. Breakfast and parking were included, which adds up elsewhere on a longer stay, and there’s an EV charger at the hotel. We were there for three nights for our kid’s hockey tournament. The front desk staff were exceptionally helpful and responsive. The hotel has clear rules and a curfew for hockey families, which helped athletes get proper rest. They also dealt with people who ignored them, including some running and yelling in the hallway at 2 a.m. Thanks as well for being flexible with late checkouts. My one deduction is for the old wall HVAC unit. It’s noisy and rattly, and doesn’t seem fully insulated, so it bothered me as a light sleeper. It was too cold to switch off, though, and earplugs helped. Keeping it running through the night is another option. I’d happily come back.

The rooms are much like what you’d find elsewhere, but the staff’s service really stood out. The location is great, and we enjoyed the restaurant’s food, portions, and value. I’d suggest having at least one lunch or dinner there.

My 11-year-old son and I had a great stay. From the minute we arrived, the service was amazing, and even he noticed how good it was. There’s plenty to do here, with a gym, pool tables, arcade, sauna, hot tub, and pool. We’ll stay here whenever we’re in St Catherines.
