Bentley's Inn

Room 103 was roomy and quiet despite being right in the heart of downtown. The bed was comfortable, and having a fridge and microwave was handy. Staff very graciously carried our bags up the steep stairs. We knew the room was above the bar and restaurant, but those stairs would be a challenge for anyone with mobility problems. The bathroom in the upstairs loft was inconvenient at night, and the skylight over the bed, with no windows, started letting in light around 5 a.m. We had no choice but to wake up. Those two issues would keep us from staying again.

We parked across the street in their underground lot and left the car there until it was time to go home. That’s exactly what I wanted when we chose a downtown stay, and the walk along the river to the Festival Theatre is lovely. The room was spacious and much more interesting than a standard hotel room for me and my two kids. It was clean, though the carpet was stained, and the staff were friendly. The loud air conditioner was my main complaint. There was also a strong air freshener just inside the door, so this room wouldn’t suit someone sensitive to scents. We had a really lovely two-night stay.

A nice, civilized place to stay, and fairly quiet once the bar closed. The building has been nicely renovated, with a small amount of parking and a separate entrance at the back. Our loft was furnished nicely and had a fireplace, two TVs, one large bed, and two smaller beds upstairs. The bathroom is also upstairs.

We slept fine and didn’t hear any noise from the bar, which I’d been a little worried about. This was a cozy little loft on the town floor, with a cute kitchenette and two single beds up the stairs, perfect for my friend and me. It’s right downtown and within walking distance of everything. Parking was okay, with a small daytime fee. I’m glad we picked this over a chain hotel and would come back and recommend it.
