Sonesta ES Suites Toronto Markham

It's on a quiet street, and we never had safety concerns. Getting to major roads and public transit was easy, and we used both. The location worked perfectly for our trip. Our room was tidy and clean, and the front desk staff were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was excellent, and the dining area had plenty of seating indoors as well as a great outdoor space. We didn't get around to using the pool. We'd call it a great place to stay with family, and the previous reviews that led us to book were right.

We spent a couple of weeks here while our place was being renovated, and the value was excellent. The suite's mattress gave me some of the best hotel sleep I've had, and we appreciated having a kitchen. The only drawback was the dated fridge, which got very loud at times. The 24/7 gym, breakfast, and laundry facilities were all great. The coffee at the breakfast buffet was especially good. Everyone was friendly and helpful, particularly the housekeeping, front desk, and kitchen teams. I'd highly recommend staying here.

The staff were a real highlight, friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Our suite was clean, comfortable, and nicely arranged. Breakfast offered a good range, including eggs, bacon or sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, a pancake machine, yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee, and tea. It was good overall, though fresh fruit would've been nice. The pool was fine, just fairly standard. We were at the back of the hotel, where highway noise was noticeable at night, something light sleepers should keep in mind. A solid, comfortable stay with a few minor drawbacks.

The location worked especially well for us because we were in town for Shouldice Hospital. It's a quick, easy drive, which made the Sonesta a convenient base during a stressful time. We had a roomy, spotless 2-bedroom suite at a great price, with plenty of space to relax. It felt more like a home away from home than a standard hotel room. Staff interactions were pleasant and helpful, and the free breakfast had plenty of good choices. The gym is small but fine for a quiet workout. Free laundry machines are tucked right in the gym, though you'll need to bring your own detergent and dryer sheets. The pool is basic and shallow; a hot tub would've been nice after a long day out, but its absence wasn't a deal breaker. Great comfort and value, and we'd definitely return.
