The room was a decent size, clean, and had enough storage. The bathroom was modern, with a large shower. It’s a decent place in a very convenient spot near the theatres. But the main light switch didn’t work, and neither did the TV. I told the Manager, who gave a brief “sorry” but didn’t offer to move us to another room.

Finding this motel was confusing because it shares a front desk with the quality inn, while the rooms are behind the quality inn. The room felt neglected, with a stale, musty, smoky smell, dirty surfaces, cobwebs, something sticky smeared on the walls, and a floor that hadn’t been vacuumed. There was duct tape on the showerhead. The TV didn’t work properly, the wifi kept cutting out, and our laptop couldn’t connect at all. The phone was dead, there was no iron, and no shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or other toiletries. There was no restaurant, despite what a recent review had said. I booked a queen bed but got a very uncomfortable double. I barely slept, maybe half an hour, and felt uncomfortable in the room the whole time. We booked three nights and left after one. My request for a refund for the other two nights has gone nowhere. The front desk person says nothing can be done and refers me to a manager who’s conveniently unavailable. It felt like staying in an abandoned hotel, with no sign of recent upkeep inside or out.

The room was very quiet, and the bed wasn’t bad. Still, the place is run down, with a carpet that smelled, black mold in the shower, and a door that looked kicked in and badly repaired. No one answered our calls at 3:30 or 6 p.m. on a Friday.

The room was freezing in May because the heater was completely dead. We called at midnight to get it fixed or turned on, then waited another hour for the room to warm enough to sleep. I woke up cold anyway, so it was miserable. By morning the air was stuffy and I’d developed sinus allergies overnight. After the rain, the windows and carpets were damp. I’m guessing there may be a mold problem, and the uneven floor under the carpet felt structurally unsound, as if water could be coming up from the ground. There was no door peephole and only a basic lock, which would feel scary for a woman traveling alone. The place was also very hard to find in the dark, tucked behind the Quality Inn with poor signage. No one was in the office when we arrived, even though we’d called ahead to say we’d be late, and the number on the door went unanswered. We eventually got checked in at the Quality Inn desk. The photos are misleading because they show the Quality Inn part of the property. Too many problems, and the whole operation felt sketchy. I’m not sure what’s going on there, but with all this, the room might be worth $60 a night at best. Don’t spend your money here. Other value places nearby are probably a better choice.

The staff were friendly, and the bathroom has been newly renovated. The rest of the motel feels tired and chaotic. The rooms are very old, and the worn carpet has cigarette burns and holes underneath where the floor is broken.
