Linda Vista Motel

Preet at the front desk made the stay for us. He was relaxed, genuinely helpful, answered all our questions, and even thought of things we hadn’t asked about. Everything felt easy because he clearly cared that we were having a good visit. If every hotel had someone like Preet, travel would be a lot less chaotic. He deserves a raise, a promotion, or at least the good shifts. We’ll definitely return, partly because we know he’ll be there. It’s a budget hotel without fancy amenities or extras, which was exactly what we expected. The place was clean and comfortable, and did the job. I’d recommend it for a solid no-frills stay and great customer service.

We had to go back to reception for a different room because the first one was clearly left uncleaned. The bed hadn’t been made, and food containers and other things were still on the table. The replacement was in the section they said had been renovated, but the outside looked unfinished and unattractive, almost like a construction site. The reception area smelled unpleasant as soon as we walked in. It didn’t feel clean or professional, and the general presentation fell short of what I’d expect from a hotel in Canada. Overall, the odor and cleanliness were poor, and basic hospitality standards weren’t met. I was very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The building looks old from outside, but I was pleasantly surprised when I went into my room. It had a kitchen, a clean bathroom, and all the amenities. There’s plenty of parking, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk manager greeted me warmly when I arrived at the last minute and offered a discount without my asking, which was very nice. The pop machine wasn’t working that day. I’d really recommend they start offering breakfast to guests. I had a wonderful stay at Linda Vista on king George.

Parking was easy to find and convenient, which was a real plus. The room was comfortable, clean, and looked well cared for, and the staff were friendly and easy to deal with. It was a smooth, pleasant stay and good value for the price. I’d stay again and recommend it.
