Super 8 Swift Current

The staff were the highlight of my stay, they were amazing. The hotel is older, though it’s being renovated, with fresh paint and new carpets. It was great value. The pool was unavailable while they were refreshing it.

We only needed a room for the night while travelling, and had never had trouble with Super 8 before. This stay was awful. There were strange bugs in the room, plus old socks left under the beds and behind the closet. When a bug we killed wouldn’t flush, I called the front desk. The staff member said there was no way to fix the toilet, so I asked for a plunger. He brought one, but expected me to plunge it myself. The front desk manager also saw the bug and said it was gross, then suggested the cockroach or whatever it was might have arrived in another guest’s luggage. We got a full refund and found somewhere better to stay, which was the only upside. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place.

The location is handy, just off the highway. Our room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was good too. A very good place to stay.

The bathroom paint was peeling and there was mold growing. The sheets had stains, and there was something nasty on the bed skirt. Housekeeping hadn't cleaned under the beds either. The wall heating unit was coming loose and looked like trash.
