Auberge la Sainte Paix

We could look out at the Fjord from our bedroom and spot whales while eating breakfast. They serve a great breakfast for a small fee, and it’s worth every penny. The place is lovely and very clean, right where we wanted to be. The owners are welcoming and know the area well. We’d love to return and will spread the word, even though part of us wants to keep this little gem to ourselves.

The room was pleasant, but this was the worst value for the price among the 20 properties we visited. We paid $186 and only learned afterward that there was no breakfast option because we booked the same day, despite this being a B and B. The jacuzzi didn’t work either. The separate bathroom was downstairs and could only be reached by stairs with narrow treads.

Breakfast was made to order and came with a view of the water. Our room was large, with three beds and Wi-Fi. The place was immaculately clean, and we felt very comfortable during our two nights with family. The host was awesome, welcoming, and helpful with ideas for what to see and do nearby. Perfect.

The location is hard to beat, close to both the forest and the water, with a view of the coast. The wooden hotel is beautiful, very clean, and everything felt to be of perfect quality. The owner was very friendly, and the personally served breakfast was really tasty. We were completely happy with our stay and would strongly recommend it. We’ve traveled all over the globe, and I’d say this is one of the best hotels.
