Skeena River House Bed & Breakfast

The breakfasts were a highlight, with delicious home-cooked meals each morning, from fresh fruit and baked goods to locally inspired hot dishes. They were hearty and beautifully presented, and you can tell the hosts take pride in them. The Skeena River House also has a breathtaking setting on the banks of the Skeena River. We loved the views, from sunrise coffee on the deck to the golden light on the water at sunset. From the moment we arrived, the hosts were warm and genuinely hospitable. Their thoughtful touches and local insights made us feel like family. For a peaceful riverside stay with excellent service and wonderful breakfasts, it’s a perfect choice. We can’t wait to return!

The suite gave us plenty of room, with a very comfortable bed, a small, charming kitchenette, and space for our luggage and our son. We also had privacy, plus a large shared room with a fire pit, pool table, comfy seating, and reading about fishing and the Skeena river. The house is spotless and well cared for, with a warm, homey feel. Breakfast was lovely and tailored to what you want, with eggs, juice, fresh fruit, and homemade treats. The hosts are kind and flexible, and the place sits right beside the river, with a cute little path and magnificent views. Terrace's downtown hotels feel pretty generic by comparison. If you can get a room here, book it. Don’t miss it when you're in Terrace.

Such a lovely place to unwind. We just listened to the Skeena River and relaxed, and both sunrise and sunset were stunning. Thanks so much, Kim, for the warm hospitality and that amazing breakfast omelette. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had dinner takeout on the deck, looking out over the river, forest, and mountains. It was so peaceful. Kim put us in a room inside the house, and it was amazing, like something from a glossy magazine. The bathroom was beautiful and stylish, and went perfectly with the room. We hadn't expected that. Breakfast was another wow: fresh fruit salad and yogurt, then apple Dutch pancakes and perfectly crisp bacon.
