We were welcomed at the last minute so we could celebrate our engagement, and had such a lovely stay. The hosts were wonderful, the views were beautiful, and the space was comfortable. We couldn't have asked for more.

We slept so well in the fabulous bed and bedding at the Mica Suite. The suite was spotless, thoughtfully built, and had everything we needed, including a good-sized fridge, a nice shower, and great drinking water. The hosts made us feel welcome in their home and were happy to accommodate us. A great find in Valemount. We'd gladly book again.

The main catch is the schedule: check-in is at 4 pm and checkout at 10 am, so a one-night visit doesn't give you a full 24 hours. Otherwise, this is a quiet, clean, cozy lodge in a small BC town, about an hour's drive from Jasper, with mountains and a river valley all around. The rooms are well equipped and the kitchenette has all the utensils you need to bring food and cook. There's also a BBQ in the garden. A very good place to stay if you're coming from Edmonton.

The peaceful setting made it easy to relax, and the temperature was comfortable in both summer and winter. I managed with a small fan at night in summer, and the in-floor heating keeps your toes warm in winter. The new mattress was a bonus too. Toby is the best behaved dog and will come say hello if you invite him. Andy and Elli were warm from the moment I arrived until I left, and they really go out of their way for guests. I stayed in the Mica Suite, where everything indoors and outside was kept fresh and meticulously clean. The home is beautifully crafted, and you can tell how much pride they take in it. The kitchen had what I needed, with stunning views from inside and from the outdoor dining and seating area. Tête Jaune Cache doesn't have great service or internet, but they have boosters and a solid connection if you need it. There's so much around that you may not even want to be online. I'd happily stay again, and recommend it in a heartbeat. Thanks again, Andy and Elli. It was a gift to stay with you and meet you both.

The hosts are what make this place special. Elli and Andy were welcoming, always ready to help, and full of great stories from their lives. I stayed for a VERY long time, and they became my family. The studio suites are cozy and spotless, with their own ensuite and thermostat. They feel like luxury cabins, with beautiful woodwork throughout and all the little things you'd want for a long stay, from books and games to blankets, corkscrews, can openers, salt, and pepper. Outside, the patio overlooks a tree filled valley and mountain peaks, and there's a trail behind the house for a short walk to the river. Elli can point you to lots of other local hiking trails too. It's peaceful, with birdsong and wind in the trees as the main sounds. The property is surrounded by nature, yet Valemount is only a 15 minute drive away, with a great coffee shop, Vale Coffee, and excellent craft beer at Three Ranges. If you're looking for somewhere in the Robson Valley and this place is available, don't hesitate to book.
